Namita Rose Helps after Earthquake

The Namita Rose, built by Pelena Energy as part of a transport solution for Solomon Islands, has helped to rescue people after an earthquake and tsunami hit Solomon Islands' Western Province. The boat’s shallow draft and jet design were essential features that enabled it to access people trapped on islands that were being rapidly inundated by the tsunami.

The Pelena Express was then chartered to the Red Cross to allow them to deliver emergency supplies and medical assistance.
